NEW MASH-UP: Wobble Got It Made V.I.C. x Special Ed

Here's a creative spin on every DJs LEAST favorite but every big girls' MOST favorite song (shoutout to the non big girls who like to Wobble). The Wobble acapella masterfully mashed up with Special Ed's classic I Got It made instrumental (yes DJs, Instrumental) and a lil Pistolgrip Pump thrown in for good measure.

NEW MASH-UP: Fingers Hurt No More Larry Heard x Mint Condition

Mash-Up of the classic Chicago house record Can You Feel It & Mint Condition's You Don't Have To Hurt No More acapella. They sound incredible together.

NEW MASH-UP: Make It Rain Like A G6-Far East Movement x Travis Porter x DJ Mike Love

This Mash-Up was created because I always wanted to play Like A G6 in the club without Black people throwing empty Ciroc bottles at me. My needs+creativity=your musical gain.

Enjoy...

Classic Mike Love Mixtape-NBA Live Hosted By Antoine Walker (2002)

I'm not uploading all the old Mike Love Show mixtapes, only a couple. Why? BECAUSE I GAVE Y'ALL NIGERIAN GANGSTER & BOTH OF THE UNIVERSAL SESSIONS FOR FREE and Its time I make some cheese off my former hard work (Seriously, there will be paypal links for your favorite mixtapes soon so get ya 10's ready).

So, what's the history behind this mixtape? I wanted NBA Live to be a mixtape series hosted by Chicago area NBA Ballers but the only ones I could pull off were Antoine Walker & Bobby Simmons. (big up to Bob who's still in the league 8 years later, Toine, not so much) We never did Bobby's mixtape because "the streets" hated the Antoine Walker concept. We recorded Bob's part when he was playing for the Wizards & It was the Michael Jordan/Wizards era. Bob talked about Mike being a black hole with the rock, etc. Good stuff, maybe I'll find the dat one day & release it as an interview.

Actually, the real reason I'm releasing this is because True Enuff asked me to. The Dunn Ruff family is repping hard on this one. Hell, it was mastered by Mike Dunn. Wow, I got a mixtape mastered by Mike Dunn. Oh, the things I've accomplished in life...

Anywheezie, the intro of this mixtape was spotlighted as one of my all-time favorite mixtape intros here, so now you get to hear the entire thing & see what I was on in 2002. Creative & cold as hell, still.

Fela Kuti Remix Competition Entry ITT (Mike Love's Respect The Shrine Remix)

Love Fela Kuti. Love Remixing Fela. Here's my entry for the Fela On Broadway remix contest for ITT. I wanted to stay true to the original ITT, (which is why I called it Respect The Shrine) but with a lil 2010 punch.

Nigerian Gangster "American Dreamin" Remix video: D.I.S. Guise "Nigerian Dreamin'

I've reached Foreign Exchange status! D.I.S. Guise, A rapper from London rapped over American Dreamin' from Nigerian Gangster, made it Nigerian Dreamin' and made A VIDEO for it as an anthem for Nigeria's 50 years of independence! Sweet...

Mike Love Edit:The Dogg Pound-Big Pimpin' Clean Version!

Coldplay-Clocks (DJ Mike Love Edit)

My 11-year old daughter Tamera loves Coldplay & is always watching their videos, new and old on YouTube. So I'm randomly listening to Clocks recently so she comes and hovers in my area for a moment and comments, "Its about time you're listening to some good music."

Kids. Gotta love 'em. Coldplay=Good Music.

I decided to do an edit of the song because I loved that bootleg house version that came out a few years ago, but Its not a version I could ever get away with playing. I wanted to make something more programmable for me.

Hey, you never know when the mood will strike & I gotta play some Coldplay in the club.

Before today, to my kids, my music stinks. Thank you Coldplay. Your song from 2003 has resurrected my career & made me cool again with the "tween" set.

For a day at least.

DJ Mike Love presents The Cold As Hell EP

I produce beats & do remixes. I've also done some award winning Mixtapes that have been spotlighted on MTV and on blogs globally. Some people know that and some people don't. The thing is, if people DON'T know these things, but I want them TO know it, I havent done a good job getting the message across.

Being a mix DJ is what got my foot in the door with radio and I'm always looking to show my skills, in the club or bangin out trax on my laptop. That said, here's a 5 cut sampler of my favorite producton/remixes that I've done in the last year plus. Its a mix of the music that influences me from Hip Hop to Go-Go to Afrobeat to Chicago House music. It's called "The Cold As Hell EP" because of the infamous soundbyte I've been using on Mixtapes since 2004 that says "Shit, Mike Love Cold As Hell." Its been my calling card since my girl Crystal did the drop back in the day.

Big up to my Milwaukee family who will always know me as a DJ 1st & big up to Chicago, the city that helped make me become a global brand and will watch me take my DJ career to new levels.

My house tracks are always inspired by a night out in the clubs. This track was inspired by the style of deep house I hear at spots on the south side of Chicago like Reynolds, The Dating Game & Visionz.
